机の引き出しから、使い終わったノートが出てきた。
A notebook I had finished using came out of my desk drawer.
最初のページには、去年の春に立てた予定が細かく書かれていた。
On the first page, the plans I had made last spring were written in detail.
ほとんどは予定通りにいかなかったが、不思議と嫌な気持ちにはならなかった。
Most of them hadn't gone as planned, but strangely, I didn't feel bad.
最後のページには、何も書かれていなかった。
There was nothing written on the last page.
私は少し考えてから、そこに今日の日付だけを書いた。
After thinking for a moment, I wrote only today's date there.
それだけで、そのノートがまだ終わっていないような気がした。
That alone made me feel as if the notebook wasn't over yet.
私は新しいノートを開き、同じ日付をもう一度書いた。
I opened a new notebook and wrote the same date again.
