駅前の道で、私は小さなキーホルダーを落とした。
On the street in front of the station, I dropped a small key holder.
気づいたときには、もう駅の改札の前にいた。
When I noticed it, I was already in front of the ticket gate.
私は来た道をゆっくり戻った。
I slowly went back the way I had come.
歩道の端で、小学生くらいの女の子が何かを拾っていた。
At the edge of the sidewalk, a girl about elementary school age was picking something up.
それは、私が落とした青いキーホルダーだった。
It was the blue key holder I had dropped.
「これ、あなたのですか」
"Is this yours?"
私は何度もお礼を言い、かばんにそれをしまった。
I thanked her many times and put it in my bag.
