朝のバス停には、まだ眠そうな人たちが並んでいた。
At the bus stop in the morning, sleepy people were standing in line.
私は時刻表を見て、小さくため息をついた。
I looked at the timetable and gave a small sigh.
バスは十分遅れていた。
The bus was ten minutes late.
隣にいた女の人が、私に小さく笑いかけた。
The woman next to me smiled at me.
「今日はみんな、少しだけ遅刻ですね」
"I guess everyone will be a little late today."
その言葉を聞くと、なぜか気持ちが軽くなった。
When I heard those words, I felt lighter for some reason.
バスが来るころには、空が少し明るくなっていた。
By the time the bus came, the sky had become a little brighter.
