雨が止んだあと、小さな公園には静かな光が差していた。
After the rain stopped, a quiet light came into the small park.
ベンチの上には、濡れたハンカチが一枚置かれていた。
There was a wet handkerchief on the bench.
私はそれを拾い、近くの木の枝にそっと掛けた。
I picked it up and put it gently on a nearby tree branch.
しばらくすると、小さな男の子が走って戻ってきた。
After a while, a little boy ran back.
「それ、ぼくのです」
"That's mine."
男の子はハンカチを受け取ると、少し照れたように笑った。
When the boy took the handkerchief, he smiled a little shyly.
公園の水たまりには、白い雲が映っていた。
White clouds were reflected in the puddles in the park.
