朝の駅前は、いつもより少し静かだった。
The area in front of the station was a little quieter than usual that morning.
美咲は信号の前で立ち止まり、青になるのを待っていた。
Misaki stopped in front of the traffic light and waited for it to turn green.
隣には、小さな男の子と母親が立っていた。
Next to her, a small boy was standing with his mother.
男の子は大きなランドセルを背負い、何度も空を見上げていた。
The boy carried a large school bag and looked up at the sky again and again.
「雨、降るかな」と男の子が言った。
"Do you think it will rain?" the boy asked.
母親は空を見て、少し笑った。
His mother looked at the sky and smiled a little.
「たぶん大丈夫。急がなくてもいいよ」
"It'll probably be fine. You don't have to hurry."
その言葉を聞いて、美咲も少しだけ肩の力を抜いた。
When Misaki heard those words, she relaxed a little.
信号が青に変わると、男の子は小さく手を上げて歩き出した。
When the light turned green, the boy raised his hand slightly and started walking.
美咲はその後ろを歩きながら、今日を少しゆっくり始めようと思った。
Misaki walked behind him and thought, "I will start my day a little more slowly."
